ADVENTURES

I love adventures. I've hiked through the Smoky Mountains, bicycled across Greece, sailed on a small boat to the Bahamas, and enjoyed a stint at dog-sledding in Alaska. I've also toured through Austria, Belgium, Belize, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Guatemala, Italy, Ireland, Israel, Mexico, the Netherlands, Panama, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, and all over the United States, including Hawaii.

I've held down some interesting jobs too.  I've worked as a rock-climbing instructor, a training consultant, a London chambermaid, a school librarian, a Kibbutz field hand, a professional musician, a newspaper reporter, a Waffle House waitress (where I met Andre the Giant on the midnight shift--but that's another story!), a printer's apprentice, a shop clerk, a bread-baker, a camp counselor, and a professional storyteller. I've also started three businesses and written two books.

I guess you could say that I like anything that is not boring. Don't you?

And . . .  then there is my family:  Meet Anna and Lewis. He is just four months old in this photo!

Meet Morgan, Rowan (da bug boy), and Fiona (my faerie granddaughter). On adventures, of course!
